Peter O’Loughlin was called to the Bar in 1983.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney.
Prior to working as a barrister Peter worked as a solicitor with Stephen, Jacques & Stephen (now King & Wood Mallesons) between 1971-74, where he undertook AMP suburban and rural mortgage work involving Torrens, Old System and Crown Land and general conveyancing.
From 1974-83, Peter worked as a solicitor with Greaves Wannan and Williams, undertaking conveyancing and litigation. In 1976 Peter became a member, continuing his work in commercial litigation, including bank litigation and conveyancing litigation involving vendor and purchaser cases, easements, covenants and mortgage enforcement.
Peter O’Loughlin specialises in estate law including probate suits, claims under the Family Provision Act 1982, trusts and will construction; Real Property Law including vendor and purchaser cases, lease disputes, priority disputes, caveat disputes and disputes about easements and restrictive covenants; Security law including disputes about registered and unregistered, mortgages, charges and liens.
